The school aims to integrate all new children into the school and the customs of their country with sensitivity, care and consideration.  The school is aware that many of our EAL children come from countries where there is conflict have experienced trauma.  This is taken into consideration when planning for individuals needs.

Classroom teachers ensure that pupils can participate in lessons and have awareness of good practice in providing for pupils with English as an additional language within the whole school setting.  The school endeavours to provide individual and small group intervention to support the acquisition of the English language.

Friarage School reinforces the inclusive nature of our school: everyone is equal, and diversity is celebrated.
